On a recent hike in Yosemite Park at the Hetch Hetchy reservoir I came apon this Cecropia Moth resting on a granite boulder. It's a little beat up, but still pretty.

Both are great captures, smac.
With a slight pp on their wings, you can even ask sponsorship from Nike:-)

Thank you badahir, I was thinking the exact same thing. The markings on the wings do look like the Nike Swoosh. Maybe I could also add little Nike shoes to the moth. Three pair per moth, that should really boost sales.

Nobluo, Thank you very much. I was using a D70s and I believe at the time I had the 18-70mm f/3.5 lens on. I shot at max zoom 70mm, f/9, 1/320sec. hand held from about 2.5ft. I cropped the image for about a 30% enlargement.

All the best,
Steve

Hi, Steve

He's a regular little mobile radar station.

With your pp skills shoes would be pretty cool.
