thanks (again!) to everyone for all the kind words...

this photo is probably a once-in-a-lifetime shot - i haven't seen another one like it anywhere, andi probably couldn't duplicate it if i tried. i just feel very fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time with the rightgear, and that i even had the notion to tryto get the shot!i'm currently working on a licensing deal that would get it on a CD cover, and it's also appearing (albeit in small size) in the "Your Shots"feature onpage 10 of the October issue of National Geographic magazine! it'll also appear on their web page. with 6.5 million print subscribers around the world, and who knows how many online viewers , that's some REAL exposure!! i have no idea where it'll go from there, but it's sure a hoot so far!!

it even got my picture on the front page of the local paper, and mention on a local news radio broadcast, and i have the owner of a frame shop near my house who wants to sell my work! wow! all this for a photo i took basically just for kicks, to see what it'd turn out like!!

Congrats, Winston!!! You have achieved icon status!! NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC!!! Dude, that is one of the best pictures that I have EVER seen! I'd rather be lucky than good anyday!!!

Superb picture!
And made even more unique by it's story.
Probably never gotten the same result in a thousand attempts if you tried to shoot the pic on pourpouse.

Once again, it's absolutly superb photo.
