Weneed to be able to print out pictureswhich replicate the colour of a scanned object to near perfection. The images are scanned at 600-1200dpi and saved as Tiffs. And then printed on to A4 photo paper. The size of the image is never any bigger than 3x3".

Currently we have a normal Kodak Easyshare 5300 - prety naff. The problem we experience is that it produces a variety of shades different to that of the real item.

The printer to be purchased is for work so cost is no issue. We are happy to spend a grand or two if need be but colour must be as exact as possible.

Any advice/help would be most appreciated on what printer to go for.

Consider Xerox DC5000 (http://www.xerox.com/digital-printing/printers/digital-press/docucolor-5000/enus.html)! You may look for where the copy center offers Xerox DC 5000 printing.
