If you do not check the "Remember Me" box when you log in, the forums will log you out after a short time due to inactivity (it's set to 15 minutes now). That helps us to get a better idea of how many users are really using the forums at a given time.
So, to prevent the issue you're seeing, just check the "Remember Me" box to the right of your username and password when logging in, and the system won't require you log in again the next time you post something (the login will happen automatically). |

"...(it's set to 15 minutes now)...
I just changed it to 30 minutes to make it easier on members that don't want to use the "Remember Me" feature. That's a more common setting for auto logout, and that way, members will have a longer period of inactivity before they're logged out. Of course, you can always use the "Logout" menu choice (right top menu choice when viewing the main forum page). But, if you want to make it easier to post from PCs that are private so that you don't need to worry about logging in again after an inactivity timeout, just check the "Remember Me" box at the time you log in, and then the forums software will automatically log you in anytime you access anything here without any additional user input required. |
