Sorry, if this is an old topic. I searched the forums and didn't find anything.

I am an infrequent visitor to the site. I am most interested in the reviews and news.

I visited the first time in a while today and noticed that the review menu looks like
it's been redone. The menu has selections for year (of review) and the list is
chronological. The menu used to list resolution/type, like DSLR, and the list was
sorted by manufacturer.

Is there a viewing option or preference somewhere I'm missing? It's a bit harder
to find the reviews I want. I also seem to discover reviews of interest less when
I'm browsing.

Thanks for your help! And don't worry: I love this vast collection of info and all of
the work you do here. I'm not going anywhere!

Welcome to the forums.

If you click on the "Our Reviews" menu choice on the left side of the main page at http://www.steves-digicams.com, and then click on "All Camera Reviews", you'll come to this page:

http://www.steves-digicams.com/hardware_reviews.html

Simply use the drop down list to find the camera you want to see a review for. This list is sorted alphabetically by Manufacturer and model.

I remember a page that used to list some of the basic specs for all reviewed dSLRs, with links to the actual reviews. That page had some useful info that made it easy to make quick comparisons among different cameras (crop factor, resolution, etc.)

I can't seem to find that page an longer. Am I just missing it, or is it gone?

If you guys click on the Review Archives button (http://www.steves-digicams.com/hardware_reviews_archives.html), it will take you to the oldhardware reviews page that has all the pages listed by megapixel, Digital SLR, Waterproof/Resistant,etc.

TCav, is this the page you are referring too?

We don't delete any old pages. Using the new setup saves us a lot of time adding new cameras to the list. BTW, the pages that are listed by megapixel are not being updated anymore. Anything from 2007 - Forward will be on the new 2007, 2008 pagesand so on.

From my understanding we were not going to be. However, you've brought up a good point. I'll get back to you as soon as I find out.

Thanks TCav

The reason we went to the new format for listing the cameras is because most folks were complaining about weeding through all the old reviews to find out what was actually current.

We decided to list the cameras with the most recent on top. You can discern which are dSLR's by looking at the column that states Zoom/Lens Mount Type. Also another dead giveaway is the NA listed in the Movie Size/Length column.

For folks doing research, using the drop down box with cameras listed by manufacturer, then model, (which includes the review date) is probably the best bet.
