Thanks for all the positive comments everyone. The lighter background is taking some getting use to for my eyes, but I really like it a lot.

I use Firefox as well, and have had No problems what so ever.

Default Slow with Firefox

Just as slow with Firefox as with IE6 for me. Probably because I only have dial up although this is the only site other than eBay that really bogs down.

i miss the black background. The red and black was my favorite and i felt it was very easy on the eyes and looking at pictures posted in forums on a black background was even more pleasing

Anyways users can choose the old theme(just the theme)????

For the forums, Yes. You can choose the Dark Theme under User CP>Edit Options>Forum Skin (last option at the bottom). Also, when browsing the forum, you can scroll down to the bottom and look to your left. There is a drop-down box that will allow you to change the theme as well. However, this is only temporary. You need to use the method I mentioned above to lock the desired skin.

Good luck! If you have any questions or needs, please feel free to contact one of our moderators or myself.

I like the changes to the site.

I preferred the old logo, but it's your logo.

I use the Light Theme. The new red line under the blue banners for Forum groups looks an awful lot like chromatic aberration to me.

I see the light theme switched over to the "new light theme". I prefer light over dark. But my biggest issue with the new light theme is the huge header area at the top of the page. Much bigger than the old theme or the dark theme. If there were a way that could be reduced that would be beneficial. I just don't like any web based system where 1/4 of every page is header info. Even if there were a way to collapse it - THAT would be much better.
Pushing this line:
Steve's Digicams Forums > Welcome Center > Contact Steve's

to the top of the form.

Second option would be eliminating that middle section with the logo and gigantic 'search' bar while still leaving the top nav buttons. At least in the FORUMS pages.

Default Don't like the new home page.

The new home page has way too much on it. I liked the old site because it was simple to navigate through. The new home page looks like times square.
