Default Photo info I'm probably way off

I seem to think that in the past I have been able to look at photo's on this site then open them with either Opanda or PhotoMe and look at the info.
Am I mistaken or have things been changed? Probably the former.

You should be able to right-click and view the EXIF information if you've got the add-in installed.

I obviously have not got the add in installed as right clicking doesnt do much.
I can save as into my pictures and get a bit more with some shots via photo me or Opanda again only on some shots

I've got IExif installed - there's an extra menu item to view the exif information when i r-click on any image in internet explorer.

Are you talking about photos posted here on the forums? If so, you may not be able to see the EXIF information with some due to the creator not including that info. Most of our regulars keep that information in tact when they downsize for uploading to the forums, however some don't; whether intentionally or not.

Also, some times they host images on third-party photo hosting websites (like PhotoBucket for example), and it's possible that the host is removing the EXIF in order to keep files sizes to a minimum.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help all. Yes I did mean pics on this site Billy.
What I have done is down loaded the latest Opanda Iexif and that has done the trick.I now have "view the Exif" when I right click on the image but only when it's included as you say Billy.I already had an older version of Opanda installed but I had to jump through hoops to get anything up i.e."save as" into "my pics" and go from there but it had very little exif there.
Good result as usual from Steves Digicams Forum

I have one more question(for the time being ) and that is, when I'm in my pics and right click on a photo I get an option "Open With" come up which gives me various options. One of them is Photo me which gives me loads of data but Opanda is not included on the list.On the other hand when I right click on a pic in Steves Digicams Opanda comes up now but Photo Me has never come up.??
Thanks

I have just noticed something else and that is Internet Explorer allows the Opanda IExif when I right click but on Firefox its not there, so I'm going to put my Desk top link to S.Gs via I.Explorer.
Puzzled ?but I expect there's a simple explanation.

Sounds like the Opanda EXIF tool is not compatible with FireFox. I personally use a FF Add-on called "EXIF Viewer (vr. 1.55)", which allows me to right-click on photos in FF, and offers a "View Image info" option to see the EXIF; if available.

Now, for your other question. If you are using Windows Explorer (window's file browser application), the "Open with" option when you right-click simply allows you to choose from a list of programs which you'd like to use to open said file. If you see Open With at the top when you right-click, that usually means you have a specific program set as the default to open that file type. I think

For PhotoMe to work as a right-click option for Firefox, you have to install the add-on from the PhotoMe website, as it isn't included with the basic program.
