Default Query regarding Canon Lenses

What is the difference between Canon Lances EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 III and EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II? and which one is better?

Seek advise from senior group members?

Thanks.

Just corrected the title for you..... I wasn't sure what a Canon Lance was

The older III is not as sharp as the IS II and also the IS has image stabilisation which can help with camera shake.

This might help http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_E...5_I.2FII.2FIII
