I masked out this old VW van which I shot recently at a Kowabunga Van Klan show here in Huntington Beach. I then placed it in an older shot of the HB Pier.

G'day Walter
Over 100 views without a response - ![]() I can see that you have enjoyed yourself here and the end result does have some appeal I also like the way that you have set the van's windows to show the clouds in the sky behind a "Well done" from me Phil

It's not a van. It is a pickup truck. The sides are hinged as well as the tailgate, which turns it into a flatbed. Quite rare in the US, but was popular in Europe and South America.
Interesting tidbit about them is that the cargo capacity was greater than the weight of the vehicle, and underneath the bed was storage space with flip-up locking doors. Nice job of merging the photos. Very natural looking. brian |

Great capture Walter! I love the way you have clicked this pic. You have covered not only the van but also the beautiful sky, sea, bridge and everything behind it! Great job, Walter!
