I masked out a shot of a Huntington beach police copter at a car show, which was fairly tedious. Then placed it in a shot of the pier. Made a copy of the copter to use as a reflection in the surf. Then, using Topaz Studio2, I combined the frames and added a tint. Probably could have done better with the reflection image. C&C welcome.

yep, I can see that you worked lots to develop that image.
(Done stuff like that myself and no doubt about it - it's a labor of love.) The detail is certainly there. Some viewers might be dissuaded by the monotonic red, but it's not an issue for me personally. With these types of projects, it's the discovery, invention and skill mastery for the creator that is the prize. Then there too is the icing on the cake which is the motivation such projects inspire within others to try new /different things. Notwithstanding .... well done ! |
