Default Old Industrial Building

This subject has been in my hard disk for a lot of time.
The building was attracting me but the original shot colours were too meaningless.
I have tried with BW, colour curves, equalization, desaturation and partial colorization : nothing convinced me.
Last night I rolled up my sleeves and faced the problem.
This is the final result :

P.S. :
- desaturation
- fill in flash in order to highlight dark areas in the building,
- the wonderful "gradient map" effect ( I have experimented them all till I have found the right one for my taste).
- Accented Edges filter ( with small parameters in order to enhance building and grass details)

Hi Sergio

Nice PS work! Very artistic. A bit too much saturation for my taste, but because this is obvious intented from your side and done on purpose - I think it works very well.

From a technical POV this shot says something about the limitation of lenses. The chimney seems to be correct vertically, while the lightstand in the right side of the shot is leaning towards left. This kind of distortion is very common for almost all lenses and really shows a lens's limitations. The only way to get this correct is to do it by software! On my Sigma 15-30mm lens this problems is much bigger  and will become even more as you go wider and wider...

(in august there will be an article on my website on lenses and this problem )

Arrivederci Sergio e li vede in Italia
