Here's an abandoned cityscape, a rather apocalyptic look !

Thanx Vito.

The shot has been taken directly in B&W mode.

I then colored it to sepia.

I focused my cam at about 1/3 of the vertical distance between me and the horizon to exploit hyperfocal distance in order to get it as sharps as possible.

Sky is digital ( a little bit rough ) and has been added in photoshop. A radial blur ( zoom type ) has been added to it.

Very nice. I wonder what it wopuld look like with a tiny amount of orange or red added to the sky.

Thanx ferny.

Feel free to add it as you like and share the result, I'm curious.

What I like... the effect in the clouds. It adds a surreal mood to the whole scene.

Thanx Tom.

Well, everybody has his own "inspiring photographers".

One of my favourite is Mimmo Jodice, an italian master of B&W photography.

I was hit by his skyes and I'mtrying to reproduce them in some shots.

Hehasn't a website unfortunatly so if you want to look at his shots all you can do is make a search on google images with his name.

However, let me provide a link to one of his shots whose skies inspired mine :
