For you who still looking for this, install the zoombrowser 2.1 from here: http://www.alfa.com.au/supports/cano...zoombrsr22.exe
and then use the updates from canon :-)

download the Zoombrowser update from Canon site, but before you install, you have to create the following registry key:

HKLM/Software/Canon/ZoomBrowser Ex

Then the upgrade can be installed!

Hi, I had the same issue. I tried all the links given but none seem to work. Canon forwarded me to a reseller and they charge 30 euro for the cd .

Again posting the question: Does anyone know a download link for zoonbrowser full version.
Thx, Paul

OK... try this:

1- download the update: k6301itx.exe (about 30MB)

2- dont execute it! just extract with zip or winrar 'cause it is just a compressed folder!!!

3- look for install.exe into the "k6301itx\INSTALL\COMMON" path

4- zoombrowser installation will start!!!

5- after the boot restart the update

I'm confused. If I search (with Google) for "ZoomBrowser" I get some forum requests for ZoomBrowser 2.x, like above, but these posts are 4 or 5 years old. But the poster above suggests getting a file that starts with k6301, which (to me) kind of implies version 6.3. The latest version at Canon's site (as I write this) is version 5.7.

I think my S3 came with version 5.6. Is this version a "lite" version like the fax software many of us received with our our first fax-modem in the 1990s? AFAICT, ZB is written by or for Canon, and you cannot get it anywhere else. So there would be no reason to distribute a "lite" version with the camera, right?

(they could hand out a "better" version to encourage owners to register. I registered and I haven't heard from them)

So did I get a "lite" version? I am wondering.

I too lost my CD. Here is how to get latest Version 5.7 installed on your computer.

Go to the Canon website, go to the downloads for consumer products, select your camera (or any other camera if Zoom Browser V5.7 doesn't show up.) Download file ZB570UPD_EN.exe. Use Winzip to unzip that file to a temporary directory. In the folder, browse to INSTALL\Common and run file Install.exe.

This will bypass the check of whether the old version is installed or not (and its completely unnecessary, believe me.)

It is, by the way, ten times better than the old V2.x! Good luck to all!

Just open WinRAR or WinZIP, then open the .exe file

Best regards

This method does not seem to work. Using WINRAR and 7ZIP, I get the same message when I try to extract the .exe file:

"Can not open file ZB580aUPD_EN.exe' as archive"

Don't know where my original Canon software disk is. Don't know why Canon doesn't make this available for download.

CORRECTION: The method above does work, but make sure you download ZB570UPD_EN from the Canon website. The method described above works on this file.

Once you have that version installed, you can download the latest version and upgrade normally.
