Default ink cassettes

About how long do ink cassettes last on dye sub printers? Average number of prints on a casette? If you need a specific printer what about say the Canon CP-200?

Default About the HiTi...... 640GALA

I'm a newbie and still doing research (searching web and reading). I'm going to get the HITOUCH 640GALA.

The way they do it is. There is enough ribbon to do the paper with, in this case you buy $20.00 worth of paper and ribbon and get 50 prints.

It is a 4 pass operation, so the 3 colors and overcoat for that particular print are rolled up and you can't get back to them.

Just do some more reading and you will understand this much better than I can explain it.... my understanding most of the dye subs do it this way.

If you want to cheap out (like I do), get a epson printer that will accept a continous feed kit "inksupply" web site tells which one. Then you can print for pennies per page literally, full pages. It is just with the epson it needs to print at least once a day...

good luck,
