Default laminating dye-sub

does anyone have experience laminating dye-sub prints?? i've messed aroudn with it, but it seems to be a trade-off of stability to the lamination bond strength... either the color's wont run and the laminate will peel, or the laminate doesn't peel but then colors blur out after a few days.

would love any advice anyone can give, thanks.

The HiTi printers install a protective coating on the print that is water proof.

I have an Olympus P-440 and it also puts a protective coat on the picture. I dipped a picture in water, rubbed it in with my finger, let the water sit in a puddle on the picture for about 3 minutes, and the picture wasn't damaged at all.
