I'm in the market for a dye sub printer, and considering the HiTi 730PS. I requested sample prints from them, and upon inspecting them it seems that red objects near dark backgrounds has significant bleeding of the red dye into the dark perimeter. On the sample print, the result is that a number of red flowers against a dark brick wall look exceptionally fuzzy, almost as if they have a faint red halo. Blue flowers on the same print against the same background have a nice crisp perimeter, so I know the problem isn't poor focus on the original image.
Is this bleeding a typical dye sub problem, or did I received a bad test print?
Thanks in advance!
