Hi Guys,
I would like to find an answer for a printing problem I am having. All my printed pictures look a little red. On some prints it is not very obvious, but for instanse I printed a gray picture and it was light redish (the black text on the picture was ok). I am using an epson 1400 with bulk ink system and sawgrass' Power Driver IQ 1400 color manager software. As far as I can tell the driver setting is ok. Do you know if I am having a software or printer problem? Thanks in advance! |

Antony,
I did not notice it when I used Epsons genouin ink, but I only made a few prints than I have installed a sublimation bulk ink system. Do you think I should try to take out the balk system and try the original ink again? Did any of what I tried to say make sense? Do you have any suggestions? Thank you! |

I would suggest you try the Epson's genuine ink and see the results. Perhaps, also try to print a few without colour managing software.
If the printouts from Epson genuine ink gives you similar results as bulk ink system, it might be the problem of other issues... such as the colour of your monitor, room lighting, colour of walls (and surrounding objects)... etc. Otherwise, you might want to consider another brand of bulk ink system. Just my two cents. |

I just printed some grayscale with my Epson AcuLaser C1100N (colour laser). I noticed the grey is not very grey, a bit brownish tint.
I then switched to black and white mode (instead colour printing mode), and the grey looks better. I use genuine Epson toners. I think you might be interested to know. |

I have Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 (Bought from here) and I am facing the same issue. What did you recommend me for this?

If there's enough sublimation ink but your print seems to be missing a particular color, you probably have a clogged nozzle, so you'll need to clean your print head. If your print lacks shadows and contrast, the black ink cartridge is the likely culprit.
