those sound rhetorical but anyway, sure. the ground is always there. if your lcd flips out and you have a remote in your pocket it's easy. if neither, less useful. i still need to get a beanbag so i can just sit the camera on top of posts. if it's raining i generally don't take pictures but i have a plastic bag ( http://optechusa.com/rainsleeve.html ) that i use with live view. pretty cheap too. a clear plastic bag and some elastics might be even better.

Q: Are there any real advantages when opening/editing a JPEG in Camera Raw ? Is it less destructive than in PS ? I really like the NR feature within CR, but other than that...

Will I get less posterization/color banding ?
