I am not a Photoshop Elements user so I can't say, but with Photoshop CS you add a watermark by using your type tool or drag your logo from a seperate image into the one you want watermarked.

I can't say this too many times.....Visualizer Photo Resize is the perfect tool for these tasks...they have a free version you might want to give a shot. It does all this for you....even in a batch resize process, if you should need this. It supports both image and plain text watermarks. You can use a transparent PNG image as a watermark, and it fits right in. Definitely worth a try. I discovered this tool through a thread Smilepack here at the forums wrote, and I have been a fan ever since.
