I had just redone my computer (it crashed about three weeks ago now) and after reinstalling my photoshop cs2, and using it, it says that some of my psd files with text no longer had the fonts available? the font I was using is colbalt or colby or something along those lines, but if I was to do anything with the picture, the font, would have to be changed to a default (new times roman I believe) Have I missed an update somewhere, or is there another program that photoshop may use to get the fonts from. I haven't installed microsoft office yet.

Thanks for your time

Many programs install fonts. Put all of your old programs back on the computer and they might reappear.

In the meantime just highlight the text and choose a font that is similar – you aren't stuck with Times New Roman.
