Hello all,

Speaking from the viewpoint of a DEFINITE rookie, I'm very happy with Photoshop Elements 4. Speaking as a teacher with a teacher's salary, I'm happy with the price.

Being a teacher has certain perks. I can get a copy of CS2 for about $290... (not the upgrade version).

My question: Do I need/want to? Are there several features in CS2 that are NOT in Elements?

Please keep in mind I'm a complete rookie.

Thanks so much!

There are many many things that Photoshop CS2 can do that Elements can not. However, I think not everyone needs the extras. Below is a link about a discussion between Photoshop and Elements (older versions, but still valid).

Also, you can always download a free trial from Adobe and see. I use Photoshop as a photographer and web designer and I love it. I learn more everyday and the more I learn the more I love it.
