I'm looking for help in getting that 'soft' look when editing skintones. I have Photoshop and am no expert with the program. I mainly take photos of my daughter and would like to achieve this look with some of them. The link below is one photo I would like to experiment with. I haven't done any editing to the photo. I know I need to adjust the color and probably crop. I seem to have problems deciding on the best color, if you have any tips for that.

This is a little noise reduction applied to the face. If you don't have a noise plug in you can do nearly the same with smart blur. Avoid the eyes, hair and mouth or it doesn't look good.

It works best on a full face portrait rather than a shapshot. And as I said in the other thread you should get the highlights under control when you take the photo. You can bring up shadows that are too dark but blown highlights are just gone.
