Hello All,

I have been enjoying my recently purchasedS3IS. I have noticed a limited flash burst in some incidences and have began to wonder about additional flash.

The S3IS camera has a set of two light bursts when using the built in flash. That burst of light to assist in focus and then the flash. I was wondering what kind of trigger system I could use on a Sunpak 422 flash unitI have, to sync the 422 with the main camera flash burst.

I use the Sunpak Digital Camera Flash Adapterin conjuction with an old Vivitar flash that I had with my A-75 and get good results, although I do take one or two test shots first if I am bouncing the flash off the ceiling rather than shooting straight on. However, if the on-cameraflash is used for focus assits then you may have problems with optical slaves.
