My new HVL-F32X is arriving tomorrow to be used with a V3. This is my first external flash and was wondering if anyone has any tips or can point me to an online guide so I can get the most from it. Or am I just trying to make things more complicated than they really are?

This Sony flash is one of the best flash that I've had ever used.

I have a Sony DCS F828 and the flash pitures are very natural. I would leave it

on full auto and shoot away!! However, its a power hog so carry spare batteries

with you no big deal.

Have fun!!

This is really a great flash. Make sure you play around, and practice using the bounce mode indoors...it will make a huge difference in indoor shots. The manual is unfortunately not very good. I suggest doing most of your shooting in mode a....this allows the camera to set exposure based on flash as opposed to the opposite in mode b. The results are more consistant in mode a.

In mode a, there is a pre flash which seems to make people blink.

What is the difference in mode a and b
