I was wondering if this flash has the auto focus assist lamp on it. It is not listed on Minolta's site but it is in the features of the description on B&H Photo's website. Anyone use this flash or any other on their A200?

This flash does have an AF Assist Lamp. However, the A200 does not enable it. Ditto for the 3600 and 5600 (the A200 will not enable the AF assist lamps).

The type of light/pattern generated by the AF Assist lamps in these flashes does not work well with Contrast Detection Autofocus Systems (as found in non-DSLR cameras like your A200).

So, Konica-Minolta does not enable the AF Assist Lamp with any of their flashes from your A200.

The AF Assist lamps will work with compatible Minolta 35mm film cameras (orKM DSLR models like the 5D and 7D), since these use Phase Detection Autofocus Systems which are sensitive to the AF Assist generated by these flashes.
