Are you looking for something other than Minolta. It's sounds from other forum like the Sunpak 5000 might do the trick, but most other dedicated 3rd-part Minolta flash will not work in TTL or ADI mode, only in manual.

Yes, I am looking for alternative other than flash from Minolta as it is just too expensive.

i just called Tocad America the distributer of sunpak. i spoke to the product mgr. he said that none of their products support any auto functions such as ADI on the minolta Digital. he went so far as to say that it fire the flash. it is designed for the maxxum series only for all auto functions. they are in developement of a 4000af for the dimage. availability approx 2003. the pz5000af is approx $150 the minolta hs3600d is $190. i know you want the most bang for the buck. but i don't think thats an option. give them a call and they'll explain. they want you to buy their product but they don't want to sell you the wrong product.

Time to pay up on PBase! The free ride was good for a while, but with this new forum I finally gave up and 'donate' on friday... (or my picture links just show up as forbidden) It would be nice if you can post your D7 adapter and it's schematics again... Do you still have the link to the guy that build that 'super battery' pack on Pbase also in the old forum? There's a schematics there for all the readers here as well... |
