I just purchased the Opteka EF-600 DG Super E-TTL for my Canon S5- IS. (Have no idea why my font turned blue?!)

The flash was working perfect last night. The flash zoom worked with my camera perfect, when I was at 50 my flash zoom was at 50. It fired fast and perfect.

Then this morning I took a few pictures of my daughter which turned out fine, then took another and the flash fired BRIGHT and made ping noise. The flash was VERY bright when it flash, the picture turned out almost white. Then after that, the flash no longer is working with my S5. It will not fire any longer. The flash is working perfect off the camera. It just will not work with my camera any longer.

What do you think happend and how can I fix it ? I am so bummed.

I purchased this flash after reading the S5 flash tutorial here, and was so happy when it worked fine. Now it doesn't.

Call ther vendor and get them to replace the flash. It sounds like it has failed in the TTL circuit.
