I have two external flash, Minolta Auto Electroflash 220X and Hanimex TZ325. Are they compatible with a Fuji S9600?

THe major question to be asked when dealing with old flash units is: Are they safe to attach to the hotshoe. Older units may have excessive voltages on the pins that can burn out your camera. A place to check is http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fl...l-cameras.html. If the voltages are safe it is most likely that you would have to use the flash in manual mode where you have to set the aperture based on the distance. There may also be an auto mode where you set an aperture and the flash determines the exposure. Since TTL flash protocols are proprietary it is unlikely you will get any fancier than that. If the flash units have more than the central pin your camera may lock up as I have encountered in the past. Review the user manuals for the flash units and your camera. If you can't find them try Googling the brand and model numer to find one.

External flash is very important for the quality snap..
Canon and Kodak are the best companies which are careful about the flash light quality.
