Default Nikon R1C1 replacement next year?

In 2003 the Nikon SB-800 was released.
In 2004 the SB-600 was released.
In 2008 the SB-900 was released as a replacement for the SB-800.
In 2010 the SB-700 is released as a replacement for the SB-600.
So does it follow that now Nikon is working on a replacement for the R1C1 system (SU-800 to be replaced with SU-900 and SB-R200 to be replaced with SB-R300) that will be coming out sometime in the next 18 months?
I don't have a good feel for how popular this system is (everyone seems to prefer standard ring flashes - either dedicated or attachments to standard flashes) but I've been looking at it as it is so versatile (although expensive - would not be happy to buy it if the new-and-improved version is on its way).
Thoughts on whether they might be updating this system?

The only improvement I would want is if the SB-R200 replacement could use rechargeable batteries instead of the 2016 cells.
