Default Phoenix 66S w/ Nikon CP 950

Steve wrote a good review of this flash/camera combo, so I went ahead and bought the flash since I have a CP950. Trouble is: the synch cord that comes with it doesn't plug into my CP950. I even ordered it from Porter's just like Steve. Has anyone been able to make this work? The true slave flash works fine, but I want to manually flash it externally and turn off the internal flash. Maybe there is another synch cord available??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA,

Jody

Jody,
I understand that it comes with a standard PC cord? Then you need the AS-E900 cable and the AS-15 adapter:

http://www.nikon-euro.com/nikoneuro_...e900_en_12.htm

The AS-E900 goes to the 950 body and ends with standard Nikon mount shoe (with "ttl" control pin that you don't need)
The AS-15 goes into the shoe of the AS-E900 (or any standard ISO hot shoe) and provides a standard PC-type connection.

The AS-E900 is a Nikon product. But The AS-15 can be substituted with a generic one, at much lower cost , without the Nikon logo of course.

Take a look at the "External Flash" section of my 950/990/995/4500 user guide, and you will find all the stuffs you need.
