What brand should I get to purchase a defuser.:?

I borrowed one from a friend and used it today and loved the results. It was a white plastic and looked like the Sto-fen. I only found the green and Gold on B&H's site though. There was no name on it though.

Actually I found the one I used. We were outside under cloudy skies here in Central Florida. I was shooting a rehersal dinner for a friends wedding. I have a Canon 20D and a 580ex flash. I have found it to be great for sports and action shots but strong for "faces". We had a lot of group shots and were under a covered area and it got pretty dark. I have found no red-eye and the light is evenly distibuted.

I bought a diffuser tonight and waiting. I made a home made one out photo paper, very easy. It worked well. I have notice my photos are soft. I was taken photos of my dogs. Happt Hoildays and a safe new year.
