I am thinking of buying a Sony A100 DSLR so that I can make use of my Minolta lenses. Does anyone know whether my Cobra 7000AF-Mi flashgun will work with this camera? Alao, would my Tamron 500mm mirror lens be compatible?

I'm not familiar with that flash, but if you were using it with a Minolta SLR such as the Maxxum 7, it will probably work, but check the trigger voltage first. (search this forum to learn about this) Minolta/Sony use a non- ISO hotshoe configuration and require a dedicated flash unit.

If your mirror lens has a Minota mount, it should work, as I believe there is a menu setting allowing you to bypass the automatic focus and aperture, and releas the shutter manually.
