Hi!

Is anyone able to let me know if the Olympus E-500 or E-510 are compatible with a Nikon SB-24? I have the latter and am thinking about buying one of the former but would like to know if I will also need to invest in a new flash gun as well.

Many thanks!

The Nikon flash will probably only work as a strictly manual mode typeflash. You can probably set the ISO on the flash to what you are using on the camera, also you will have to manual zoom the flash head to match the lens you are using. Set the flash to auto and the sensor in the flash will read the light off of the subject.

It will not work in TTL at all.

If it were me I would sell the SB24 and buy a flash the same make as the camera so I could use TTL.
