I've just upgraded to this flash after using a standard flash for years. I'm confused about the flash output figures. is 1/1 maximum output? Please give me some help!!

Not familiar with your unit, but I have seen others with the manual outputs given as 1/1 for full power, then 1/2, 1/4,1/8, etc. Probably not too relevant if it is a dedicated flash and you use it in auto mode.

I typically use my camera in manual mode when shooting flash.

NND-

The Canon EX-580 is a fully dedicated flash when used on Canon cameras with a hot shoe and it can be used in any of the Canon camera's modes.
