I have a Nikon D50 with a SB 600. I'm looking for a flash commander since my D50 does not have that ability in camera. I see that I can get the Nikon Sb-50dx AF very cheap and is listed as having a flash commander control. Will these two lighting systems conflict or should I just start saving for a SB 800? I wanted to use the external flash on camera as well as the wireless controlled one. Thanks for any advice in advance.

That combo isn't going to work. Only the Sb800 or an Su-4 commander unit can fire an off camera flash. Only the SB600, SB800 and Sb400(which is a basic flash) are completely compatible with current Nikon DSLR's.

All righty then. Thought that I could get off cheap. Will have to save up for that SB800 then. And right now I really don't need two flashes. Thank you for your help.
