We all know about the Bower flash for <$40 being sold on ebay as a TTL flash (it ain't).
There is also this one
http://images.channeladvisor.com/Sel...lashcanpen.jpg
That is being sold by many ebayer's for around $115. It looks like a clone of the Minolta
5600 series, but it may be just a higher powered Bower without true TTL.
Has anybody actually tried on of these?

additional info.
The above flash appears to be made by Sakar which purchased the rights to Vivitar
The unit is also branded under the Digital Concepts label.
Here is their web page on this product.
http://www.sakar.com/p-516.aspx?categoryid=144
They have no technical info on the site for this product.

Looking at the page, there is nothing listed as compatible, which is curious, as the pages for the other camera models do list compatible models.

I did some searching and couldn't find any Sony Alpha owners claiming they've tried this one yet (Sakar or Digital Concepts brand flash for Sony Alpha models).

So, you'd be taking your chances.
