Default SB600 or SB700 flash for D90 ?

I'd call myself an enthusiast who's looking to invest in my first external flash. The SB600 gets good comments, but discontinued although it can still be purchased as refurbished. The SB700 also gets good comments so I'd like to know what useful differences there are between them. Thanks.

The Nikon Canada website still shows both the SB600 and SB700. It also allows you to compare the two. http://en.nikon.ca/Nikon-Products/Flashes/index.page

Either flash works well so I would go for the best price.

I have 2 SB600s and a SB700. The SB600s are great flashes, but the SB700 has a much better user interface. Switching from on camera to slave to master is all done with one switch. SB600s can't act as a master flash at all. For my type of shooting, macro, The SB700 allows me to have on camera light when I want it while I have an SB600 in my pocket set in wireless mode. I can flip a switch on my SB700 and pull out my 600 and have off camera light in a sec. That's just my set up. I have also used the same set up for weddings.
