Default Vivitar 285 & Metz 32MZ-3 for FZ-10?

The FZ-10 manual p.85 warns to use not only < 24 volt @ the shoe but also correct polarity. I have emailed Panasonic support to no avail.
Does anyone know if either the 285 or MZ-3 have the correct polarity? Both are < 24 volts at the hot shoe.
Or conversly does any one know the polarity of the center post of the FZ-10 hotshoe or the DMW FL-28 flash or any other one that has not fried the camera's electronics??
TIA

Default External Flash Trigger voltages, problem solved

Search of the site found these links which answered my query and may yours.
For a table of Trigger voltages URL
http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html
for instruction of how to measure trugger voltage [this will give you polarity, though your camera maker may not share that info] URL
http://www.botzilla.com/photo/g1strobe.html
Perhaps polarity table could be started here?
My Metz 32 MZ-3 measured 4.1 volts w/ center post +. I could not get the Vivitar 285 to charge.

If you want a newer model, the 44 M-2 and the 54 MZ-3 with a standard adapter would work just fine with your camera. Neither is very cheap. The 32 series has a major advantage over the 44 series, which is that of both vertical and horizont pivot; the negative with the 32 series is they weigh a ton!!!

I recommend purchase of the SCA 3083 slave adapter should you procure a Metz solution. These are the cats meow.
