does anyone know if the macro ringlight for the other coolpix models will work

with the 5700 using an adpator? I just purchased eight different step up rings to

use filters with my telephoto lens so now Im curious if I could make the ringlight work as well.

Sorry. The Diameter of this light is much too small for the larger lens on the CP 5700.

It was originally designed for the Swivel Bodied Coolpix models (which have a lens designed to take 28mm filters and lens accessories) -- although it will also work with a few other models using an adapter:

Here are the models it will work with, along with the adapters required. The diameter of the CP 5700 lens is much too large to use it:

No, the SL-1 does not work with the 5700 well due to its very small center opening (i.e., 28mm). But, you can use a larger and more powerful Samigon FRL-1 ring light. See the FRL-1 page of my Coolpix 4500 user guide.
