Need forums help. Just recently purchased a Promaster 5750 Flash and sony dx flash module only to find that it is incompatible with my Sony F828 fortunately I have a F717 and it will work just fine. Can anyone suggest a compatible flash for my for my F828. Already own an HVL F1000 and a HVL F32X. They don't have enough power for night drag racing photography...

Thx in advance...

Jim

I have F717 and F32X flash. Looking EVERYWHERE for external flash that has TTL performance w/ F717. Sony F32X and F1000 are not TTL w/ F717.

Have you found any flash that works TTL w/ f717? Saw you have Promaster.

How about Metz 54 MZ4?

Guide number is 54 (~160 in feets) and they have adapters enabling fitting MZ-serie (/SCA-models) to almost any camera.
For F828 right adapter would be SCA 3602 M4.

Metz Tech replied today no TTL w/ any of their flashes for F717. They do have some units that work TTL w/ F828. You're right on that.

I enjoy my F717 so much that I have two of them with a host of accessories, so I'm not likely to switch to 828 or anything in near future.
