I just received my Sigma flash today. It is a Pentax mount. I hear something rattling inside. Is that normal? It seems to work OK.

Does it only rattles when you zoom?
If it is, it's the zoom mechanism moving in response to the zoom movement on the lens...

No, it's not when it's zooming. When I rotate or flip it physically. I hear the rattle when it's on or off, mounted or not.

I have two EF500DG's Super and none of them rattle except when the zoom mechanism move... IMO it's definitely 'not' normal

There's definitely something loose on the inside. When I turn it over, I can feel it land on the plastic shell. Looks like I'll have to return this one. Thanks.

There is supposed to be a pull-out wide angle diffuser at the top of the flash head.

Is it there? Or maybe it hasfallen into the flash. In any case none of my flashes including a Sigma 500DG Super rattle, all very quite except when actually zooming.
