ust picked it up on Ebay..everything looks good. Test flash works. Set menu as per manual. Force flash light is on in both P and M mode. I've changed batteries....cleaned contact point on camera and flash, tried all auto settings on flash unit.

Any way of testing the connection on the flash unit...such as using a test wire to complete circuit and make the flash fire? Otherwise, I'll have to see if the unit will work on a different camera or have the unit checked at a camera shop.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated! THANKS!

Yes, just connect with a wire the center pin and the metalic ground connection somewhere on the shoe foot

You don't say which Sunpak. Check the trigger voltages compared to the maximum listed in your manual: http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html

Thanks for the suggestion.....tried it, and it didn't flash. Had the photo teacher at my school try it on a different camera...still dead. So, there is a problem. The gentleman tha t I purchased it from has agreed to refund my money, so I can't complain.

Again, thanks for the help!
