I have read that the CT1 can 'fry' the electronics in a D70. Or is this just one of those clever marketing ploys to get me to fork out an horrendous amount for a SB6/800?

The CT1 has trigger around 200v (I have one 45-CT1). fry or not fry the D70 I don"t know, Nikon will probably say yes.

How would you hook up the CT1 to the D70? Through an SCA module or through a pc sync? Since the D70 doesn't have a pc sync I would get a Wein hot-shoe to pc adapter just to stay on the safe side. What is a $49 adapter compared to a $600 repair job? :O
