This is the first link I got by searching "flash guide number" in Google
http://www.shortcourses.com/how/guid...idenumbers.htm

As you see, it represents the power of the flasf gun.

But:
The GN is not the only comparison parameter. The other parameter to check is the coverage angle (or the corresponding focal length of a 35 film camera)
Most of time, the flash makers will indicate a GN at a low coverage angle (ie at long focal setting, if the flash has a zoom head ) just to have a big GN, which is more attractive :?.
Also, GN can be expressed in meters or in feet .

I think it meansmeters at ISO 100 as in how far the flash is effective.

Nice view from the top of Pembroke Castle tower - can you post a sample of it?

How the hell do you know Pembroke castle tower?????:O

Actually I've only been here for about 12 months, and although Pembroke castle is only about 7 miles away from me, I've not yet had chance to go up there yet.

When I do (ifI'm brave enough to climb up it:shock I'll certainly post some pics.

Thanks for your kind offer, I'll drop you a line later, cheers
