Could enybody tell me if the Sigma flash will give me good results?

If often find that the built in flash in the 350D either gives bad shadows or just bleaches out the colour. I have an external flash unit now but it is cheap and is not E-TTL.

I would like to be able to get studio flash results "on the fly" if thats possible.

Many thanks.

I just bought this flash off of Ebay, new for $199.99. It works GREAT with the XT. It has almost all the features of the CAnon 550EX for half the price.

There have been more than a few posts about it over at www.fredmiranda.com

It is FULLY compatable.

I'm thinking of getting this flash for use with the Oly C-8080. I understand the TTL is not compatable and would use it with a Wein Safesync to prevent the incompatable TTL signals from causing problems.

Does this flash have a non-TTL auto mode? eg, set the ISO and aperature on the flash and it releases the correct amount of light for the scene?

Is there any non-Olympus flashes that support Olympus' TTL format?

TIA

The Sigma 500 Super is an excellent flash, it will work well with your camera. Online vendors sell it for $189-199 now.

I have it for my 20D; I had the 580EX that cost almost $400. I sold that after reading excellent reviews about the Sigma EF 500 DG Super. Excellent flash, very powerful and so, so inexpensive! Good luck! -debbie
