Cook-

The Bower works quite well with my Sony H-1. Take a look here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...%3AIT&rd=1.

I'm new here and hope I'm posting to the right place. I have a Nikon Cool Pix and tried to use a slave flash with an electronic strobe unit which has worked succesfully with my film cameras. It didn't seem to sync right. The camera flashed, the slave flashed, but the picture (image) was really dark as if there was no flash at all. It didn't have the warm look of an incandescent shot; it looked like a very low light electronically lit image. Very dark, not useable at all.

Ham-

The reason the slave did not work was because the slave flash is perhaps older and does not properly take into account the number of pre flashes emitted by your Nikon camera. Here is a good sample photo showing you what a properly exposed slave flash photo should look like.

Thanks for your comment MT. My slave flash is older, but as far as I can see the camera just flashes once. I do not use the red eye eliminator. Could it be flashing a micro second before the illuminating flash that is undetected by my slow actingbaby blues?

Thanks again, Ham
