Default Oly C 4000 Flash Suggestions (newbie)

I just bought a tiffen wide angle lens for my c4000. When I shoot, the picture usually has a blackened circle in the lower left coner. This is where the lenses blocks the built in flash. I am a really new newbie and would like to get an inexpensive set-up with a powerful flash. But I don't know about slaves and boosters. :?: :?: :?:

Sure you have to use an external flash , it may be a slave flash, or a "wire-connected" flash.
Also, flashes don't have that much wide angle coverage , arround 28 mm focal ( film equivalent focal) for the "best" I think.

I don't know if the C-4000 has a flash slave mode without a pre flash, but if you really need it for what you are doing, you can use the DSF-1s here at this site. You can use it as a slave and set it for first or second flash.
