Considering a flash for my s-602. Does anyone have any suggestions? I e-mailed Fuji, but have yet to get a response.

Thanks,

Ang

Ang-

Why not use an inexpensive flash Bracket and an equally inexpensive slave flash costing around $(US)50. That set up will give you a 40 to 50 foot flash range.

I'm a novice when it comes to the flash. Are these "brackets" universal? I do have a shoe for an external flash...is that the same thing? I was told once to be careful when it comes to the external flash, because you can "burn out" your camera....Sorry to be a pain, but what is a "slave flash"?

Thanks MT,

Yours is an excellent question as it appears that not many folks are familiar with a slave flash. A slave flash is triggered by your digital camera's built-in flash. Because the speed of light is actually 192,000miles per hour the delay from the built-in flash to the slave flash is essentially instanteous. Thus an inexpensive slave flash offers you a very economical solution.

Flash brackets are indeed universal and inexpensive, around $(US)15. and can be used with any camera.

Thank you MT, you have been very helpful. I live in a small town, so the nearest camera shop is about 35-40 min. away. I'll drive down this weekend and check it out. Thanks again!

Dear Angela!

Consider or look at a new Sunpak 338...with only central contact, & your will like the results...maybe you can find one scarcely used at eBay, for less that, a new one at Adorama $:80.00 list price!

Cheers,
