Can anyone recommend (is it possible?)how to set up a Nikon coolpix S3 to slave strobe a SB105 (underwater strobe for nikonos)?Nikon sells a uw case for the S3. The sb105 has slave mode and works with another digicam. When I take a picture of the front of the sb105, it fires(sensor is in the front face). In the picture, the strobe looks like it didn't fire (perhaps, wrong sync time) but the pictures will get darker and darker as I raise the sb105 output level. The S3 uses a neutral density filter instead of an iris. The other digican will show the sb105 with the expected bright firing face.

My goal is to get a uw case for a digital camera that I own and can afford. I've struck out twice with previous digicams.

thanks

Probably strange to answer your own post but I didn't want to waste others' time. I have since found that the nikon S3 has a preflash (for white balance and settings??)and this iswhy the SB103 is firing too soon. Current path, new flash or go back to film.
