Default newer model Vivitar flashes for NIKON 5700?

does anyone know anything about the newer model Vivitar flashes?
what will work on a NIKON 5700?
my main concern is the trigger voltage.

As long as it is compatible with Nikon's AF cameras, a newer Vivitar flash should work fine with the 5700. The voltage issue should not be a problem. Since you did not name the Vivitar you wish to use, I would assume you do not have a specific one in mind, and, as a result, I would suggest to visit this site http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html for the actual, measure voltage information for those Vivitars you are interested in.
